SignuptoSing
SignuptoSing is a vibrant youth choir based in Saffron Walden. It draws singers from primary and secondary schools in the town and surrounding villages as well as further afield in Cambridge and Bishop's Stortford. It is open to singers aged 8-18 who sign up for each particular project. The first concert in 2010 was a performance of Vivaldi's Gloria and subsequent programmes have covered a widening range of composers and styles as well as music from the shows Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Les Misérables.
Before the excitements of preparing for MazeMusic begin, the choir's next concert on 18 November 2011 at St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden will include choruses from Handel's Messiah performed with a youth orchestra especially formed for this concert. These will be paired with music from Godspell. New singers are always welcome.
